Hey, I’m Aarav! I’m a junior at Ridgewood High School in NJ, where I’m co-captain. In my Public Forum career, I’ve placed 1st at John Lewis, 5th at Stanford, and 5th at the TOC Digital, being consistently ranked in the nation’s top 20. This year, I helped grow my school's team by 40%, brought it to its first national level tournament, and  was the first debater in school history to qualify for the Gold TOC. Helping underfunded debate teams, like my own, attend tournaments and manage financial burdens is a central objective of my work at Outreach. 

Hi! I'm Wayne and I'm a junior over at Chugiak High School in Alaska. I have competed in the majority of debate and speaking events, but am currently in Policy, DX, and Info! I have qualified to my State tournament every year and have been a PF quarterfinalist and OO Runner-up respectively, as well as being an NSDA Nationals qualifier in IX! I think debate is one of the single greatest tools for being able to have impact on a community and think that this is an amazing opportunity to help these tools be used. I enjoy snowboarding and hiking outside of debate, as well as drawing and writing! I am excited to work with everyone in Outreach going forward!

Hey, I’m Aarush! I’m a junior at Ravenwood High School, and I've competed in Public Forum for 3 years. I've made late elimination rounds at high level tournaments, qualified to the gold Tournament of Champions, and have worked with Outreach debate for many years. I think debate is a game changing tool for high schoolers to learn about and interact with the world around them while shaping discourse and thoughts. Helping underfunded and underesourced teams access the debate space is my main goal at Outreach. Outside debate, I enjoy playing chess, playing occer, and skiing.

Hi! I’m Richard Shan, a junior at the North Carolina School of Science and Math. I have been ranked as high as top 10 in the nation and qualified to the TOC every year. I formerly debated at Charlotte Latin, where I captained PF. As Outreach Debate’s Director of Competition, I organize, tab, and direct all of the tournaments Outreach Debate runs. I was always amazed by the critical thinking and research skills that debate taught me in a competitive environment, and am excited to bring that to Outreach. Outside of debate, I am passionate about computer science, the classics, and playing frisbee.

Hi! I’m Swathi, a freshman at Energy Institute High School who specializes in Lincoln Douglas debate. I’ve made it into deep elimination rounds in many tournaments starting from middle school. I was a quarter-finalist in my NSDA state tournament and broke into NSDA nationals. I love debate because it’s a good opportunity to improve on various skills, including communication, leadership, and critical thinking. Debate has allowed me to gain perspective on our world in many different ways. As the Director of Publicity, I’m excited to increase awareness about Outreach for greater access to debate resources.

Hi, I’m Jason! I’m a senior at the Kinkaid School. I’ve acquired 7 bids to the TOC and have made it to deep elimination rounds at many nationally competitive tournaments. My favorite aspect of debate is connecting the gap between classroom discussions and real-world discourse, which allows me to dissect complex issues from unique perspectives. As Director of Political Outreach, I will lead Outreach Debate in conducting in-depth research on community concerns and leverage our platform to drive meaningful change, so that we can make the world a better place.
